CORREGIDOR

Considered as the Fortress of Freedom, Corregidor is just an hour/more away from Manila, via ferryboat. First that came to my mind about this place when I am constructing this blog post was the horrifying “World War II”.

What always makes me “go” on a tour is the unique way of how a certain place amazes me through word of mouth. I actually felt like making a tribute of the past learning some part of the Philippine History. The island is divided into 3 sections: the “topside”, 'middleside" and "bottomside". A visit to this former battleground is a memorable experience and I recommend to those who cherish and value peace and freedom, that you avail the overnight package instead of the day tour if you want to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of life.

I’m not best at talking about all the history of the island, and I honestly don’t remember most of the spots we’ve been so I also made a research for some reference of yours in case you would want to visit.

Places of Interest in Corregidor:
 Malinta Tunnel
 Pacific War Memorial
 Filipino Heroes Memorial
 Spanish lighthouse
 Gun emplacements
 Eternal Flame of Freedom
 Aviary and Theme Park
 Filipino-American Friendship Park

VILLA ESCUDERO

Indulge yourself to a relaxing day away from the stress of school, work, any affair, etc. by having a day tour in Villa Escudero Plantations, just 2.5 hours drive from Manila, specifically located in Tiaong, Quezon Philippines. It’s been 6 years since the day we had a tour to this Philippines’ beautiful countryside, ‘twas year 2009 to be exact. No wonder why I only have this photo left because I wasn’t able to retrieve my Villa-Escudero-Photos from Friendster after it was officially announced to be gone astray, plus I just started blogging last year and I wouldn’t dare take photos that aren’t originally from my own scheme of course, but what’s important are the memories that never fade anyway.

So here is the mainly highlight of our trip obviously as I even asked an official photographer of the Resort to take photo of me on that base of a calm spillway from the Labasin Dam, the first working hydroelectric plant in the Philippines. Having an afternoon lunch sitting beneath a waterfall, listening to the sound of the rushing water while your feet are placed on it, are those that you definitely find soothing and pleasurable.

There are a lot more activities to experience here and I am encouraging you to encounter the fantastic-ness yourself.

FUN UNDER THE SUN

Summer vacation is one of my most fave seasons for travel plans. But most of the time, I do not think about where spot would it be great and perfect or what, for as long as I take a trip with my much-loved ones in the world (family), I'm always on the go! Plus think of the BUDGET of course, there are plenty of alternatives to choose from, already perfect for those who want to "okay" for a cheap summer vacation. Among the closest resorts/beaches in our very own Pangasinan, we severally go to these places, as in overused by us already haha, like every year during breaks.
